About Dawn Dewald
With a diverse background in digital marketing, partnership development and audience engagement, Dawn is an asset to every campaign she works on. She provides strategic planning, implementation and consulting services for companies, mission-driven organizations, film production companies and universities.
Dawn has served the programming committee for the Chicago Park District’s local, indie film program “Chicago Onscreen Local Film Showcase" for the past two years. This year's program is August 30 - Sept. 3, 2016.
Dawn is co-producing a documentary with Phil Batta, about juvenile justice in collaboration with a national criminal justice innovation and research center.
For the Emmy-nominated documentary The Homestretch (PBS) by Kartemquin Films, Dawn lead the audience engagement campaign in Chicago. She coordinated over 150 film screening events, stakeholder meetings, and two theatrical engagements. Dawn has also worked with Music Box Films, Chicago's only theatrical distribution company, to coordinate regional publicity for the Oscar-shortlisted documentary Meru.
In 2011, her Project M team incubated COMMON Hoops and received the Sappi "Ideas That Matter" grant.
Dawn studied at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York.
